The role focuses on developing automated solutions, integrating AI-assisted tools, and contributing to API, integration and end-to-end testing while collaborating with delivery teams to improve engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on Quality Engineering and test automation experience.
• Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured) or similar.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) and ability to explain their use in projects.

Senior Quality Engineer – AI & Test Automation

About the Role

CloudMarc is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (SQE) who has been exploring and applying AI within test automation and Quality Engineering.

We're particularly interested in candidates with a strong Java automation background, although engineers from other technical backgrounds are equally encouraged to apply.

You don't need to be an AI expert. We're open to candidates with limited AI experience, provided you've started using AI tools in your testing or automation work and can clearly explain how you've applied them in real projects.

We're looking for engineers who are curious, hands‑on and genuinely interested in how AI can improve the way we approach Quality Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions.
• Apply AI-assisted tools and techniques to improve test automation, efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to functional, API, integration, regression and end‑to‑end testing.
• Explore opportunities to use AI in test design, script development, debugging and test maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers, QEs and delivery teams to improve engineering practices.
• Share practical insights and ideas around AI adoption within Quality Engineering.
• Support continuous testing and CI/CD practices.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience in Quality Engineering and test automation.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured or similar.
• Good understanding of API, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or testing tools, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to explain technical decisions.
• Genuine interest in using AI to improve automation and testing practices.

AI Experience – What We're Looking For

We're not necessarily looking for someone who has built complex AI testing frameworks or worked on dedicated AI programs.

We’re interested in understanding:

• How have you used AI in your current or previous projects?
• Have you used AI to generate, improve or maintain automation scripts?
• Have you used AI to help with test case creation, debugging or API testing?
• What practical benefits or limitations have you experienced?
• How do you validate AI-generated code and testing outputs?
• How would you use AI to improve an existing automation framework?

Limited AI experience is absolutely fine. What matters is your ability to demonstrate practical usage, explain your approach and show a willingness to learn.
