Job summary

TheDriveGroup is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a fully remote AI SaaS startup across Australia and New Zealand. You will own quality, shape testing strategy, and partner closely with the CTO and engineering teams.

You’ll build automated tests with Playwright, enhance CI/CD, explore AI-assisted testing, and drive high-quality releases across APIs and user journeys.

Qualifications

• Quality engineering or SDET role with hands-on testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Startup or scale-up SaaS experience preferred.
• Experience with APIs, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted testing.

Responsibilities

• Own quality across the platform, ensuring reliable releases and great customer experiences.
• Build and improve automated testing frameworks using Playwright or similar tools.
• Collaborate with the CTO and developers to influence technical decisions.

They're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who wants to do more than test software. You'll take ownership of quality, work closely with the CTO and engineering team, and help shape the platform and how software is built and delivered.

• Interest or experience in AI-assisted testing and development.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership of quality.
• A software development background would be a big plus!
