Job summary

Slalom is seeking an Architect - Quality Engineering to lead testing strategy across data engineering and migration projects. You will shape AI-assisted delivery and drive test automation, ensuring high quality and scalable digital products.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality early in lifecycle, develop automated frameworks, and produce meaningful quality metrics that guide delivery decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of testing in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum).
• Full software development lifecycle experience.
• Embed quality practices early and post-release.
• Strong ownership of quality across disciplines.
• Automation testing including API/service/contract testing.
• Non-functional testing: Performance/Load and Security.
• Data transformation and migration project experience.
• Data engineering tools: Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Databricks, DBT, Coalesce.
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation.
• AI-enabled delivery experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing strategies for data engineering and migration projects.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery and elevate quality.
• Implement and evolve automation frameworks; increase test automation coverage.
• Produce test status reports and quality metrics.
• Facilitate defect triage and guide defect resolution processes.
• Conduct test reviews and support requirements traceability and coverage mapping.
• Prioritise and execute testing activities aligned to the test pyramid.
• Collaborate with team in setting quality goals and acceptance criteria.
• Perform exploratory testing with the team and customer.
• Coach and champion quality practices within a cross-functional team.
