Job summary

Labelmakers Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer at its Somerton, VIC head office to manage day-to-day QA for roll-fed label production. You will ensure GMP compliance, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement across production and customer interfaces.

The role focuses on sign-offs, process development, auditing, CAPA, and staff training within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a quality team, preferably in printing/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP and QA principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA processes throughout printing, conversion and finishing stages.
• Sign-off jobs before full production run to ensure alignment with customer specifications.
• Develop, implement and monitor QA processes and procedures across the organisation.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify non-conformances and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with production, logistics and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Analyse quality data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and internal policies.
• Provide training and support to staff on quality management best practices.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
