Labelmakers Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer at its Somerton, VIC head office to manage day-to-day QA for roll-fed label production. You will ensure GMP compliance, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement across production and customer interfaces.

The role focuses on sign-offs, process development, auditing, CAPA, and staff training within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Competenze

• Degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a quality team, preferably in printing/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP and QA principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint).

About the opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our Head Office team in Somerton, VIC supporting our Roll-fed Label production .

This role will own the day-to-day quality activities for roll fed labels, product inspections and maintaining compliance with internal quality procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. You will work between Production and our customers to remedy and prevent any quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Overse e QA processes throughout the printing, conversion and Finishing stages

Sign-off jobs before full production run to ensure alignment with customer specifications

Developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes and procedures across the organisation

Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and address non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)

Collaborating with production, logistics and engineering teams to resolve quality issues

Analysing quality data and providing recommendations for continuous improvement

Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and internal policies

Providing training and support to staff on quality management best practices

Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to quality assurance activities

To be successful, you must have:

Degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

Experience in a quality team that support printing, ideally industrial print manufacturing

Knowledge of GMP and quality assurance principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , able to act decisively

Good communication , organisational, and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team and able to teach and influence others

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and SharePoint
