Job summary

Partner Company, Australia-based, seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a high-impact fintech platform handling global payments. You will own end-to-end quality across APIs, distributed services, and external integrations, combining exploratory testing with an automation-first approach.

You will work with backend engineers and product teams to define acceptance criteria, improve testability, and strengthen quality gates, leveraging Playwright, RestAssured, and CI/CD in a cloud

Qualifications

• Hands-on QA engineering with ownership of complex systems.
• Experience testing REST APIs, including HTTP/JSON validation and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proactive quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for critical payment journeys.
• Design and execute API-first test strategies for REST, JSON, HTTP lifecycles.
• Build and maintain automated API/UI test suites using Playwright or RestAssured.
• Develop reusable automation components and test data utilities.
• Investigate production incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to improve testability and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to release quality gates, regression testing, and CI/CD validation.
• Identify risks across distributed payment systems and strengthen testing coverage.
• Explore AI-assisted QA and automation techniques to improve efficiency.
