Job summary

Cognizant Australia is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Connex Payments) to safeguard reliability, security, and performance of payment systems in the Connex switch environment, collaborating with engineering, payments ops, and compliance.

You will design end-to-end tests, validate ISO protocols, and implement API automation in CI/CD; this role offers hybrid work in Sydney, Australia with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with the Connex payment switch and core switch functionalities.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 and AS2805 protocols.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Experience with Playwright for automated test suites.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of switch features including routing and STIP.
• Test Switch Core & System Architecture (HP NonStop/Tandem).
• Validate messages against ISO 8583/AS2805 across interfaces.
• Verify EOD processing, batch generation, reconciliation workflows.
• Design and execute API tests with Postman; develop automation with Playwright.
