Job summary

Indigeco Pty Ltd is recruiting an APS6 Senior Project Officer to support Commonwealth Government health surveillance programs focused on antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance. The role requires strong project capability and the ability to work with complex scientific concepts.

Based in the ACT with flexible arrangements, the position runs from 30 November 2026 to 30 June 2028, with an option to extend for up to 12 months.

Qualifications

• APS6-level project, program or coordination experience in a Commonwealth Government, health, scientific, regulatory or technical setting.
• Strong ability to provide strategic support to a Program Manager and work autonomously.
• Experience in contracts, procurement, funding administration or vendor coordination.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with laboratories, service providers and government stakeholders.
• Ability to learn complex scientific concepts related to antimicrobial resistance and public health surveillance.
• Current Baseline security clearance, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end project and program activities with the Program Manager.
• Assist with contracts, procurement and funding administration for surveillance programs.
• Coordinate engagement with laboratories, service providers and internal teams.
• Support data governance processes, data requests and user access management.
• Assist onboarding, reintegration and ongoing coordination of contributing laboratories.
• Provide autonomous APS6-level support across reporting, governance and risk management.
