Job summary

You will join YWCA Canberra as a Senior Property Manager, leading a small team while managing a full tenancy lifecycle and maintaining strong owner and tenant relationships. The role focuses on compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal rules, and the National Regulatory Framework for Community Housing, delivering service growth and portfolio performance.

The role emphasises strengths-based, trauma-informed practice, with responsibilities including

Qualifications

• Local ACT Property Management experience is preferred.
• Stakeholder engagement and relationship experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable or disadvantaged people.

Responsibilities

• Identification of potential eligible properties.
• Assessing property owner eligibility and land tax exemptions.
• Property inspections and marketing of the property.
• Managing repairs and maintenance.
• Identification of tenants and eligibility for affordable housing.
• Management of arrears and data entry.
• Regular communication with property owners and tenants.
• Process invoices and payments to suppliers and owners.
• Collaborate with Government agencies on special projects as required.
