Engage Personnel is partnering with a leading alternative law firm to recruit a senior Property Lawyer for their Property + Projects practice in Melbourne. The role focuses on commercial and retail leasing, with autonomy to manage complex matters and build client relationships across major brands and ASX-listed organisations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE experience in commercial and/or retail leasing.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience managing complex leasing matters.
• Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on practical outcomes.
• Interest in innovation, technology and improving legal service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Retail and commercial leasing transactions, including negotiations, reviews, renewals, variations, assignments, surrenders and consent deeds.
• Managing property portfolios for large corporate clients.
• Providing advice on commercial property matters, developments, acquisitions, sales and market entry strategies.
• Supporting clients with fitout and construction-related agreements.
• Working closely with clients to understand their commercial objectives and deliver practical solutions.
