Job summary

MRA Search is seeking an experienced Senior Property & Leasing Lawyer to join its Sydney office. You will work directly with two renowned property partners, handling sophisticated property and leasing matters with considerable responsibility from day one.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years PQE in commercial property and leasing, with a track record at leading firms. You will contribute to client relationships and the growth of the practice in a specialist environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' post-qualification experience with strong exposure to commercial property and commercial/retail leasing.
• Experience at a leading domestic or specialist property law firm.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• A collaborative, collegiate and positive approach contributing to the practice's development.

Responsibilities

• Advise on sophisticated commercial property transactions across asset classes (retail, commercial, industrial).
• Provide guidance on commercial and retail leasing for landlords and tenants in major developments.
• Draft and negotiate sale/acquisition documents, leases, development agreements, and JV arrangements.
• Represent developers, institutional property owners, landlords, tenants, investors and other participants on high-value matters.

MRA Search is seeking an experienced Senior Property & Leasing Lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist law firm’s Sydney office. This is a compelling opportunity to work directly alongside two highly regarded property partners, both with strong reputations in the market and extensive experience across sophisticated property matters.

The opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Associate seeking a step up to Special Counsel, as well as an established Special Counsel looking for a more autonomous role within a specialist practice.

You will collaborate closely with the partners on a broad range of sophisticated property and leasing matters, taking genuine ownership of your work, and having significant responsibility from day one. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain client relationships, contribute to the continued growth of the practice, and play a meaningful role in its future direction.

Key responsibilities

• Acting on sophisticated commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, developments and joint ventures across retail, commercial, industrial, and other asset classes.
• Advising institutional and private clients on commercial and retail leasing, including landlord and tenant-side leasing matters across shopping centres, office towers, mixed-use developments, and other property assets.
• Drafting and negotiating sale and acquisition documentation, leases, development agreements, joint venture arrangements, and other property-related agreements.
• Acting for developers, institutional property owners, landlords, tenants, investors, and other major industry participants on complex and high-value property matters.
