Job summary

Reo Group in Sydney is recruiting a Senior Associate to lead the property and construction practice within a boutique firm. You will run high-value developer and investor matters end to end, own client relationships directly, and pursue a clear path to partnership within a firm that values capability over hierarchy.

You will head development, off the plan, and leasing work for tier-one developers and investors, with minimal partner involvement in a flat team environment and a busy pipeline.

Qualifications

• Admitted in an Australian jurisdiction with an unrestricted practising certificate.
• Five+ years of post-admission property law experience.
• Experience acting for developers on off the plan sales of strata lots and subdivisions.
• Leasing experience under NSW Retail Leases Act and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Act for developers on off the plan sales of strata projects and land subdivisions, from contract structuring and disclosure through to registration and settlement.
• Advise on site acquisitions, options, joint ventures and development management agreements.
• Manage commercial and retail leasing matters for landlords and tenants across Australian jurisdictions.
• Handle acquisitions and disposals, Torrens title issues, easements and priority disputes.
• Coordinate project finance and security documentation for developers and lenders.
• Prepare master contracts, disclosure statements and draft plans, contributing to growing the practice.
