Job summary

Genus is seeking an experienced Project Risk Lead to own risk and contingency management on the TasNetworks NWTD project. You will lead the risk framework, run risk workshops, model schedule and cost risk, and provide clear risk reporting to project leadership and TasNetworks.

We support remote/hybrid arrangements for interstate applicants, with some travel to Tasmania. You will collaborate with engineering, construction and commercial leads to drive proactive risk management across the program.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in project risk management on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading risk management on contractor-side D&C, EPC or ECI contracts valued at $200m+.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NWTD Risk Management Framework and Risk/Opportunity Register (AS ISO 31000).
• Plan and run risk workshops with engineering, construction, procurement and commercial leads.
• Build and run quantitative schedule and cost risk analysis (QRA) with P50/P90 outcomes.
• Recommend contingency levels and track contingency usage vs forecast.
• Quantify risk in variations, change proposals and subcontract awards; liaise with Commercial Manager on exposure.
• Prepare monthly risk reporting for Project Director and TasNetworks; lead joint risk reviews with client.
• Coach project leads in risk ownership and capture lessons learned for future projects.
