Job summary

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead business continuity planning across DCJ programs. Based in Parramatta with hybrid working, the role develops, tests, and maintains continuity arrangements and recovery strategies to safeguard essential services during disruptions.

You will collaborate with the Infrastructure & Assets team, contribute to organisational resilience, and engage with diverse stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical advice and influence outcomes across diverse business areas.
• Experience supporting business continuity planning, with a sound understanding of business continuity principles and frameworks is highly desirable.
• Collaborative, adaptable and committed to delivering practical business continuity outcomes while building strong relationships across the Department.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DCJ business areas to develop, implement and maintain business continuity arrangements that support the continuity of critical services during disruptions.
• Support business areas to develop, review, and maintain business continuity plans, response arrangements and recovery strategies for their critical functions.
• Provide advice on business continuity exercises and reviews to help business areas validate and improve their continuity arrangements.
