Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple structural steel projects while providing strategic direction and mentoring to the project delivery team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the successful delivery of multiple structural steel projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget objectives are achieved
Managing project teams, providing leadership, coaching and technical guidance to Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
Overseeing procurement strategies and subcontractor performance
Managing project budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial outcomes
Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Reviewing project schedules and ensuring milestones are achieved
Driving compliance with contractual obligations, Australian Standards, WHS legislation and quality requirements
Collaborating closely with estimating, detailing, fabrication and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Supporting business development activities and contributing to future project opportunities
Promoting a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement

Minimum 8–10 years' experience managing structural steel or commercial construction projects
Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects
Proven leadership experience managing project teams and mentoring staff
Strong commercial and contractual management skills
Excellent understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection and construction methodologies
Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and WHS legislation
High level of proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
Current Australian Driver Licence
