Job summary

People8, partnering with a Brisbane engineering consultancy, is seeking a Structural Team Lead to guide a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects. You will lead a capable team, coordinate workloads, mentor engineers and maintain high technical standards while delivering on programme priorities.

This hands-on leadership role requires a degree-qualified Structural/Civil Engineer with Australian consultancy experience and RPEQ.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading structural engineers and drafters across multiple concurrent projects.

People8 has partnered with a highly regarded Brisbane engineering consultancy to appoint a Structural Team Lead

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can be the glue of the structural team – bringing people together, managing delivery and creating clarity across competing project priorities.You’ll lead a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects while developing a capable team around you.

About the Company

Our client is an established Queensland engineering consultancy recognised for technical excellence and collaborative project delivery.

The structural team works across a varied project portfolio spanning commercial and residential developments, industrial facilities, community projects and broader infrastructure. Projects involve both new-build and existing structures, giving the team exposure to structural design, assessment, remediation and complex multidisciplinary engineering challenges.

The business is looking for a leader who can bring structure and cohesion to the team. You’ll coordinate workloads, mentor engineers, maintain technical standards and ensure people have the support and direction needed to deliver.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified Structural/Civil Engineer with strong Australian consultancy experience and RPEQ
• Proven experience leading and managing structural engineers and drafters across multiple concurrent projects
• Strong technical capability across concrete and steel structures with experience across building and/or infrastructure projects
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor people, manage workloads and create accountability across a team
• Commercial project experience including clients, programmes, budgets, proposals and successful project delivery
