Job summary

Apex Signage is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a sizeable portfolio of commercial signage projects from handover through to installation and completion in our Sydney team.

You will manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships with builders, clients and consultants, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. The role is based in Sydney with some flexibility to work from home where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial signage, construction, fitout or related industry.
• Proven ability to manage a substantial number of live projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness of margins and costs.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of awarded projects and manage them through the full delivery process.
• Coordinate multiple projects concurrently with programme, quality, cost, and delivery responsibilities.
• Maintain project margins and identify commercial risks before they impact the business.
• Manage variations, scope changes, procurement and project costs.
• Build strong working relationships with builders, clients, architects and consultants.
• Coordinate internal design, production, procurement and installation teams.
• Review project programmes and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Attend site meetings and inspections as required.
• Identify issues early and take ownership of resolving them.
• Ensure projects are delivered to Apex and client standards.

The role

You will manage a substantial portfolio of commercial signage projects, coordinating all aspects of delivery from project handover through to installation and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of awarded projects and managing them through the full delivery process
• Managing multiple projects concurrently, with responsibility for programme, quality, cost and delivery
• Maintaining project margins and identifying commercial risks before they impact the business
• Managing variations, scope changes, procurement and project costs
• Building strong working relationships with builders, clients, architects and consultants
• Coordinating internal design, production, procurement and installation teams
• Reviewing project programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Attending site meetings and site inspections where required
• Identifying issues early and taking ownership of resolving them
• Ensuring projects are delivered to the standard expected by Apex and our clients

About you

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who is commercially minded and understands that successful project delivery is about more than simply getting the job completed.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience managing commercial signage, construction, fitout or a related industry
• A proven ability to manage a substantial number of live projects simultaneously
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project margins and costs
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to confidently deal with builders, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues
• The confidence to take ownership and make decisions
• A high level of attention to detail and accountability

Signage experience is preferred , however we are open to experienced Project Managers from related construction and fitout industries who understand complex project delivery.
