Job summary

Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery on a major Australian defence marine program from its early stages through to delivery and handover. Based in Bayswater, WA, you will establish governance, manage budgets, engage international vendors and drive a high-visibility, safety-focused project across eight vessels.

You will own the project within delegated authority, keeping stakeholders informed and escalating risks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex defence-related programs from planning through handover.
• Strong contract and commercial management capability.
• Proven financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project management plans, integrated schedules, governance processes and reporting requirements.
• Manage project delivery safely, on time, within scope, budget and agreed quality standards.
• Coordinate internal engineering, commissioning, project controls, document control and operational resources.
• Manage relationships with customer, international vendors, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier progress, long-lead equipment, design submissions and milestones.
• Maintain strong financial control across budgets, forecasts and invoicing.
• Administer contractual requirements, notices, variations and risk mitigations.
• Identify emerging risks and take timely action to protect delivery and commercial position.
• Prepare reports covering progress, financials, technical matters and risks.
