Job summary

Keystone Civil in Geelong is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects across regional Victoria. You will oversee delivery from planning to completion, manage budgets, schedule, and coordinate the project team and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will have a civil engineering or construction management qualification, proven experience delivering complex projects, and strong leadership, communication, and HSEQ capabilities.

Qualifications

• A relevant field qualification is required, such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction techniques and HSEQ practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and the delivery team.
• Mentor and develop reports to build capability and performance.
• Manage project Profit & Loss, monitoring budgets, costs, and productivity.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Own project scheduling, track programs, and align with milestones and procurement timelines.
• Monitor contractual entitlements and manage any program slippage.
• Lead procurement activities for assigned projects.
• Oversee QC/QA and HSEQ compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Drive a positive team culture aligned with Keystone's values.

Due to strong growth within the region, we are seeking an additional Senior Project Manager to join our growing team in Geelong .

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering civil infrastructure projects across regional Victoria and surrounding areas.

As a Senior Project Manager at Keystone Civil, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion. You will lead project teams, coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a hands-on approach to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and the broader delivery team.
• Mentor and develop both direct and indirect reports to build capability and performance.
• Manage project Profit & Loss, closely monitoring budgets, costs, and productivity.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Own project scheduling, ensuring programs are tracked, updated, and aligned with critical paths, key milestones, procurement timelines, and client requirements.
• Monitor contractual entitlements and manage any program slippage.
• Lead procurement activities for assigned projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A qualification in a relevant field (Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience managing complex civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction techniques and specification requirements.
• Strong understanding of HSEQ best practice.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Great time management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and track production.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
