Job summary

UGL’s Energy & Industrial team seeks a Senior Project Manager to own construction and execution delivery, ensuring safety, on-time, on-budget outcomes and high quality. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders and drive performance with a strong safety and operational excellence focus.

You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, commercial and logistics, shaping tenders and future opportunities while mentoring project teams and building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' industry experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary project teams in power, heavy industrial, energy, utilities, resources or infrastructure.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, contracts and project controls.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HSEQ requirements and construction industry regulations.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• Track record of coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site construction activities to achieve project objectives across safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commercial and logistics teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project resources, including workforce planning, subcontractors, plant and equipment.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
• Participate in project reviews and provide strategic input into tenders and future opportunities.
• Drive a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all HSE policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Lead, mentor and develop project teams to maximise performance and engagement.
• Ensure effective communication, stakeholder management and collaboration across project teams.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice project delivery methodologies.
