Description du poste

McMahon Services is continuing to grow our operations in the Northern Territory, and we’re looking for an experienced Site Manager or Supervisor to join our Darwin team.

While experience across demolition, asbestos or hazardous materials would be highly regarded, we’re also keen to hear from experienced Civil Site Managers and Supervisors who bring strong construction leadership, planning and people management capability.

For us, the ability to lead people, manage site delivery, coordinate subcontractors and resources, solve problems and create a strong safety culture is just as important as coming from one particular construction background.

If you’ve successfully managed civil construction sites and are confident you can bring those skills into a diverse project environment, we’d like to hear from you.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Darwin, offering project variety, a growing pipeline of work and the opportunity to build a long-term career with McMahon Services in the NT.

About McMahon Services

McMahon Services is one of Australia’s largest privately owned construction, industrial and environmental services organisations, employing more than 1,300 people across Australia.

Our teams deliver projects across civil infrastructure, demolition, remediation, asbestos and hazardous materials removal, industrial and construction services.

In the Northern Territory, our teams work across a diverse range of projects and environments, providing plenty of opportunity for people who enjoy variety, responsibility and being closely involved in project delivery.

About The Role

As a Site Manager or Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day delivery of works across our Northern Territory operations.

Depending on the project, your work could include civil construction, earthworks, demolition, remediation, asbestos and hazardous materials activities, giving you exposure to a diverse range of project environments.

You’ll coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and resources while working closely with Project Managers and the wider delivery team.

We’re open to different backgrounds. You may be an experienced Civil Site Manager looking for a new challenge, a Supervisor ready to take on greater responsibility, or someone with specialist demolition or remediation experience looking to continue developing your career.

The common thread we’re looking for is strong site leadership and the ability to get the best out of people while delivering work safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do
  • Take ownership of day-to-day site delivery across civil, demolition and remediation works.
  • Lead and coordinate site crews, subcontractors and work fronts.
  • Coordinate plant, equipment, labour and project resources.
  • Plan and sequence upcoming works with Project Managers and project teams.
  • Monitor programme, productivity, quality and project requirements.
  • Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and daily site coordination.
  • Review drawings, scopes, methodologies and project documentation.
  • Identify constructability issues, changing site conditions and project risks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to project requirements.
  • Support commercial awareness around productivity, resources, delays and variations.
  • Maintain accurate site records, diaries and reporting.
  • Ensure SWMS, risk assessments and relevant safety controls are implemented.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support site teams and developing leaders.
  • Lead by example and create a positive, accountable and safety-focused site culture.
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Civil Supervisor, Foreman or similar construction leadership role.
  • Strong experience within civil construction, demolition, remediation, asbestos/hazardous materials or a related construction environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant and resources.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site planning.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of programme and productivity.

Ready for a New Challenge in Darwin?

You don’t need to be a demolition and asbestos specialist to be the right person for this role.

If you’re an experienced Civil Site Manager, Site Supervisor or construction leader who knows how to manage people, plan works, solve problems and deliver safely, we want to hear from you.

Likewise, if your background is in demolition, asbestos, hazardous materials or remediation, we’d be keen to talk.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued, respected and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents.
