Job summary

Sydney Water in Parramatta, NSW, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Application Migration Stream within the Optimising Digital Infrastructure program. You will drive planning, dependencies, and cutover activities to transition applications to two new Private Data Centres.

The role requires extensive program leadership, governance experience, and strong stakeholder engagement across architects, vendors, and business units. Hybrid work and security clearances are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Degree in technology or related field.
• 10+ years' experience delivering technology projects, incl. data centre migrations.
• Prince2 Certification and knowledge of delivery frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead large programs with multiple projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with governance, financials and resource management.
• Ability to build collaborative, high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.
• Willing to undergo background checks and security vetting.
• Willingness to travel across Sydney Water sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of the application migration to new Data Centres.
• Ensure alignment of program principles to design and transformation.
• Coordinate architects, application owners, vendors and technical teams.
• Manage technical requirements, risks, dependencies and decisions.
• Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, compliant and aligned to program objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, resource management, risk management and business continuity.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, technical workshops, knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain project artefacts, migration plans, decision logs and governance documentation.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and oversight to support successful project delivery.
