Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Collins Program team, delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects that support Australia’s defence capabilities. You will report to the Program Delivery Manager and oversee day-to-day delivery across Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain and SHEQ, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Project Management or Production Management leadership role.
Experience delivering complex projects across multiple products, services, and lifecycle phases.
Knowledge of project governance, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and commercial delivery principles.
Experience across Asset Management, Configuration Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Experience using ERP, PLM, MRP, Teamcenter, and/or IFS systems.
Relevant Project Management qualifications and/or professional certification (CPPM or PMP), or a willingness to attain certification.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects across the Collins Program.
Manage project scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, risk, and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish and maintain effective project governance structures and reporting frameworks.
Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships across the business and with external partners.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while driving timely resolution.
Monitor project performance, ensuring accurate planning, scheduling, and reporting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage digital tools to enhance project delivery.
