Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Collins Program team, delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects that support Australia’s defence capabilities. You will report to the Program Delivery Manager and oversee day-to-day delivery across Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain and SHEQ, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Project Management or Production Management leadership role.
  • Experience delivering complex projects across multiple products, services, and lifecycle phases.
  • Knowledge of project governance, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and commercial delivery principles.
  • Experience across Asset Management, Configuration Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience using ERP, PLM, MRP, Teamcenter, and/or IFS systems.
  • Relevant Project Management qualifications and/or professional certification (CPPM or PMP), or a willingness to attain certification.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Collins Program team and lead the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects that support one of Australia's most critical defence capabilities.

Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working across Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain and SHEQ functions, you'll play a key role in delivering capability outcomes within a nationally significant program.

About you

You are a collaborative and results-driven project professional with experience delivering complex projects within defence, engineering, manufacturing, sustainment, or other highly regulated environments. You are a natural leader who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and has a proven ability to deliver successful project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Project Management, Production Management, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience delivering complex projects across multiple products, services, and lifecycle phases.
  • Knowledge of project governance, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and commercial delivery principles.
