Babcock Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Project Manager (Risk) to enhance risk understanding across complex defense programs. This role involves collaborating with project teams to implement effective risk management strategies and influence decision-making under uncertainty.
You will need prior experience in risk management or related fields, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills. The position offers flexible working arrangements and a supportive work environment.
We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds; however, eligibility for a Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance is essential.
Shape how risk is understood, managed, and acted on across some of Australia’s most complex defence and engineering programs.
If you’re passionate about improving how teams make decisions under uncertainty—and want to influence real outcomes—this is an opportunity to play a central role in Babcock’s mission‑critical delivery environment.
As Project Manager (Risk), you’ll work within Babcock’s central Risk function, partnering with project and program teams to strengthen how risk is identified, understood, and managed across the delivery lifecycle.
You’ll contribute to both hands‑on project support and broader capability uplift, helping teams make better decisions with clearer insight into threats and opportunities.
This role offers a mix of autonomy, collaboration, and influence, with scope to shape how risk is applied across the organisation.
You bring a thoughtful, structured approach to problem‑solving and enjoy working with others to navigate uncertainty.
You may already have strong experience in risk management, or you may be building depth through related areas such as project controls, assurance, governance, or delivery.
