Job summary

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority in Warrnambool, VIC, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, procurement and delivery of major capital works across the Great Ocean Road region. This fixed-term role focuses on shaping community and visitor infrastructure to protect environmental and cultural values, while ensuring safe, on-time and within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure, building or civil works projects.
• Strong financial and risk management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of major capital works projects, including those exceeding $10 million.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, risk assessments and PM plans.
• Oversee consultants, contractors and stakeholders through the project lifecycle.
• Administer contracts and support procurement activities.
• Monitor performance, budgets, risks and quality outcomes.
• Prepare reports, board papers and funding updates.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement with government agencies and partners.
• Provide specialist project management advice across the organisation.
• Mentor team members in governance, reporting and delivery best practice.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, cultural heritage, environmental and OH&S requirements.
