Job summary

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major capital works across the region on a 6-month fixed-term basis. You will oversee planning, procurement and delivery of large projects, ensuring safety, timeliness and budget adherence while enhancing environmental, cultural and heritage values for the Great Ocean Road area.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong financial management, project planning and risk management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of major capital works projects, including projects over $10 million.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, risk assessments and management plans.
• Oversee consultants, contractors and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Administer contracts and support procurement activities.
• Monitor budgets, risks and quality outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality reports, board papers and funding updates.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement with government agencies, partners and community groups.
• Provide project governance and mentoring to team members.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, cultural heritage, environmental and OH&S requirements.
