Job summary

Contract Resources, part of Cleanaway, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Moomba operations, splitting time between on-site at Moomba and the Lonsdale office in Adelaide. You will guide operational improvement and contract performance across Moomba, managing around 40 operational staff and two leaders.

The role requires a proven track record in turning around challenging operations, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to develop capable leaders, with regular travel to Moomba.

The Opportunity

Ideally based in Adelaide, this Monday-to-Friday leadership role requires approximately 50% of your working time on site at Moomba, with the balance based at our Lonsdale office. Site attendance will be planned around operational priorities, with flexibility to respond when issues require your presence.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead operational improvement and contract performance across our Moomba operations. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on identifying challenges, implementing practical solutions and delivering measurable improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead operational improvement initiatives, identifying root causes and delivering sustainable change across site operations.
• Drive contract performance, productivity, efficiency and commercial outcomes through practical, measurable improvements.
• Oversee day-to-day operational delivery through two operational leaders, supporting a broader workforce of approximately 40 operators, supervisors and planning personnel.
• Develop and execute transition, mobilisation and contract implementation plans where required.
• Build capability, accountability and a high-performance culture across site leadership and operational teams.
• Strengthen on-site client relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain a strong focus on safe, reliable and compliant service delivery.

About You

Ideally, you will bring:

• Demonstrated success turning around challenging operations or improving site and contract performance, with clear examples of results achieved.
• Senior operational leadership experience in industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns or similarly complex service environments.
• Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to improve operational efficiency and contract margins.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams and developing capable operational leaders.
• A proactive, decisive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to drive change independently.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the flexibility to travel regularly to Moomba.
