Job summary

Randstad Melbourne is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month fixed-term engagement to drive end-to-end delivery of complex product solutions, including software, hardware, and integration. You will manage multiple workstreams, mentor other PMs, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.

Working closely with the Business Delivery Director, you will track status, navigate ambiguity and proactively mitigate risks to ensure seamless delivery in a dynamic transformation environment.

Job description

A Senior Project Manager is currently required for a 12 months fixed term engagement to join an IT consultancy to drive the end-to-end delivery of complex product solutions. This delivery will include software development, system integration, and hardware device deployment. Operating within a dynamic transformation environment, you will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, mentoring and leading other Project Managers, and serve as a trusted advisor to key internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Delivery Director, you will track project status, navigate ambiguity, and proactively mitigate risks and issues to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Stream & Leadership Management: Direct multiple project streams and lead a team of Project Managers, fostering collaboration and alignment across workstreams.
• Governance & Stakeholder Engagement: Direct projects involving diverse internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert, representing the project in governance forums and providing regular status reports and briefings to senior leadership.
• Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project documentation, including the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and milestones. Ensure all projects adhere to internal compliance standards.
• Risk & Issue Resolution: Assess and resolve high-priority project risks, evaluating trade-offs between issue impact, complexity, cost, urgency, and stakeholder value.
• Success Realization: Ensure all projects meet success parameters, targets, and objectives defined in the business case.

To succeed in this position you will be a highly experienced Senior Project Manager who has managed the delivery of product based customer solutions, including software, hardware and integration. You will also have experience leading multiple work streams across large and complex programs, including other Project Managers. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must.
