Job description

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Delivery team and take ownership of a varied portfolio of business and technology initiatives.

This is a hands‑on role where you will manage multiple projects at the same time, working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors and subject matter experts to bring structure, maintain momentum and deliver outcomes.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute beyond individual projects. The organisation is continuing to mature its project management practices, so you will have the chance to help develop and modernise frameworks, governance, tools and ways of working, as well as coach stakeholders who may have less experience with formal project delivery.

You will work across a varied mix of initiatives, including technology implementations, process improvement, operational change and business transformation. The role will suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working across different delivery styles and can balance getting projects delivered with helping improve how the organisation delivers change.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
  • Manage multiple concurrent business and technology projects from initiation through to completion
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones and dependencies
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors and subject matter experts
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where required
  • Track delivery against scope, timelines and business outcomes
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships across business, operational and technology teams
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops and governance forums
  • Provide clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Help stakeholders structure and progress their work where formal project management practices are less established
PMO & Delivery Uplift
  • Develop and improve project management frameworks, governance, tools and templates
  • Support improvements across project risk, benefits management and delivery reporting
  • Help establish practical and proportionate project management standards
  • Coach stakeholders and project contributors in applying consistent delivery practices
  • Pilot and continuously improve new frameworks and ways of working
  • 4–7 years' Project Management experience delivering business and technology initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and effectively context-switching between priorities
  • Strong project planning, governance, risk, issue, dependency and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience working across business, operational and technology environments
  • Exposure to agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches
  • Experience developing, improving or implementing PMO frameworks, governance, tools or delivery standards
  • Experience with project risk frameworks, benefits management, delivery reporting or similar PMO disciplines
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage upwards and provide clear visibility to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders with varying levels of project management experience, including coaching and guiding less experienced teams
  • Pragmatic and collaborative approach to holding stakeholders accountable and keeping delivery on track
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where project management practices are still developing and able to see this as an opportunity to improve delivery maturity
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams and understanding the different responsibilities across Project Management, Product, Technology and Scrum Master roles
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with project tracking or delivery tools
  • Financial Services experience (Preferred Fleet/Novated/Asset Finance/Lending)
  • Relevant Project Management or Agile certification
