Job summary

McNab on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through delivery. You will partner with design and estimating teams, identify opportunities, manage risks, plan resources, and embed safety into all stages.

You’ll own budgets, on-site costs, variations, and reporting while inspiring your team and growing talent, delivering projects that meet client needs and contract conditions.

About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll be leading the charge, working hand-in-hand with our design and estimating teams to bring projects to life. You’ll be at the forefront of pre-construction, identifying opportunities, managing risks, planning resources, and ensuring safety is embedded into design and delivery.

You will manage the project budget, costs on site, variations, payment schedules and all mandatory reporting. But it’s not just about managing numbers — it’s about inspiring your team, creating opportunities for growth, and truly understanding what drives each individual. You know how to tap into people’s strengths and bring out their best.

With a clear focus on the bigger picture, you’ll manage the overall program — adapting along the way to seize new opportunities and navigate change with confidence. You’ll take full ownership of the head contract, letting schedule, and all subcontractor and supplier agreements. At the same time, you’ll build strong, trusted relationships with clients — staying actively engaged to ensure their needs are met and contract conditions are being executed.

You are a construction management specialist, a leader of people, a manager of performance and an advocate for safety. You own the results of your projects, you run them as you would your own business, and you get great pride from leading your team – this is what makes you one of the best at what you do.

Your technical knowledge is second to none, but equally so are your people skills. You know how to get the best from a team, driving high performance and providing the right support where needed. Some days you’ll be managing a business more so than managing a construction site, and you’re equally equipped to do both.

You are uncompromising in your quality standards, you appreciate the importance of systems and processes, and you’re committed to training and coaching your team.

You invest in your subcontractors and ensure they hold the same values and safety standards as we do. You genuinely care about what success looks like for your clients and subcontractors and actively engage with them to deliver a solution that’s right for all parties.
