Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of mining and water infrastructure in Australia. You will manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk and stakeholder expectations, working with clients, contractors and internal teams to align with program objectives.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, commercial, project controls and construction, driving contractor performance and ensuring safety and governance throughout design,

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' experience in project management and major project delivery.
• Experience delivering mining and water infrastructure.
• Experience in client-side and contractor-side environments.
• Strong understanding of major program management environments and multi-project portfolios.
• Proven capability managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, commercial, project controls and construction.
• Experience managing contractor performance, including progress, productivity, safety, quality and contractual compliance.
• Strong project controls capability: cost, scheduling, forecasting, risk and change management.
• Procurement, contract administration, variations, claims and commercial negotiations.
• Experience delivering projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Exposure to brownfield or operational environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through full lifecycle from initiation to close-out.
• Establish and manage execution plans, budgets, schedules and governance.
• Drive contractor performance and ensure safety, quality and resourcing.
• Oversee procurement strategies, contract administration and cost forecasting.
• Provide reliable project performance reporting to clients and leadership.
• Lead risk management, change control and governance processes.
• Ensure design integrity, constructability and quality across delivery.
