Design & Build is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management for a major Western Sydney project. The role partners with project leadership to provide forecasting, cost control, cash flow management and insightful commercial analysis to optimise project profitability.

Ideal candidates have senior project accounting experience within construction or infrastructure, with strong skills in month-end reporting, budgeting and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager or Senior Project Accountant in construction or infrastructure.
• Experience supporting large-scale projects with significant budgets.
• Forecasting, cash flow, cost control and margin analysis.
• Partner with project leadership to drive commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Project Director and leadership to provide financial and commercial support on a major project.
• Lead project financial reporting, month-end processes and management accounts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Monitor project costs, margins, work in progress and financial performance versus budget.
• Provide commercial analysis and insights to support project delivery and profitability.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and project-related financial processes.
• Manage financial reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to improve financial visibility and cost control.
• Support financial planning and broader business reporting and strategic decision-making.
