Job summary

SRG Utilities in Sydney seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead critical water and wastewater infrastructure works within the Greater Parramatta region. You will coordinate engineering, construction and commercial activities across a major potable watermain relocation, valve chambers and related infrastructure.

You will work with the Project Manager to manage subcontractors, risks, procurement and documentation while ensuring safety and environmental compliance throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years as a Senior Project Engineer in civil/utilities and water infrastructure.
• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong safety leadership and risk management capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to adapt and lead in a multi-disciplinary contracting environment.
• Experience in estimation costing and budgeting for projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project works in scope, budget and program.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, variations and claims.
• Manage subcontractor performance, claims and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and margins with corrective actions.
• Coordinate procurement, labour, plant and resources for delivery.
• Maintain technical, quality and project documentation (ITPs, inspections, handover).
• Liaise with clients and teams to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
• Promote safety culture and compliance with environmental requirements.
• Ensure adherence to management plans, policies and procedures.
