Job summary

McConnell Dowell Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our delivery team on Western Australia’s major transport infrastructure project delivered through an Alliance model.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead planning and delivery of key work packages, mentor Project and Site Engineers, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes in a live operating environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience delivering major infrastructure, transport, utilities or civil construction projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of engineering and construction teams.
• Strong planning, commercial and stakeholder management capability.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and complex interfaces.
• Commitment to safety, quality and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex construction work packages from planning through to completion.
• Manage and mentor Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors.
• Drive construction methodology, programming and work sequencing.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project teams while managing stakeholder interfaces.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost and schedule performance, ensuring compliance with project requirements and proactive risk management.
