Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join Transport for NSW and lead the RDSS Tunnel Project Team, based at the Tunnel Control Building in Tweed Heads West.

This senior role oversees planning, delivery of tunnel CAPEX, civil and electrical infrastructure, budgets, safety and quality, with responsibility for contract administration, schedules and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in contract management and administration.
• Experience in project management and delivery of road projects.
• Strong experience delivering transport or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project planning, tendering, procurement and infrastructure contract administration.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage contractors, multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules and project risks.
• Sound understanding of WHS, environmental, quality and project governance requirements.
• Experience in state or local government environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RDSS Tunnel Project Team in the development, planning and delivery of the tunnel CAPEX program.
• Manage civil and electrical-focused infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery.
• Develop detailed project delivery plans, programs and schedules.

About You To be successful, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in contract management and administration.
• Demonstrated experience in the project management and delivery of road projects.
• Strong experience delivering transport or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project planning, tendering, procurement and infrastructure contract administration.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage contractors, multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules and project risks.
• Sound understanding of WHS, environmental, quality and project governance requirements.
• Experience within state or local government environments is highly regarded.

TfNSW also requires a four-year engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification, along with security and criminal clearance prior to appointment.
