Job summary

Transport For NSW is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work on complex road, tunnel and infrastructure projects in NSW. You will contribute to mechanical and electrical development, implementation and management to deliver safer, more connected communities and meet project objectives.

The role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, including planning, installation oversight, testing, commissioning and stakeholder engagement, while developing technical and project management

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering complex road, tunnel and infrastructure projects across NSW.
• This role will see you contribute to the Mechanical and Electrical development, implementation and management of projects that support safer, more connected communities and the achievement of project objectives.
• You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, supporting planning, installation oversight, testing, commissioning, stakeholder engagement and project delivery while developing your technical and project management expertise.
• You will also be exposed to a broad range of commissioning phases, including planning, testing, verification, validation and handover activities, while monitoring and reporting on installation and construction progress to support successful project delivery.
• You will drive quality project outcomes and continuous improvement in a dynamic infrastructure delivery environment, balancing competing priorities, managing project risks, and working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, consultants and government stakeholders.
• You will support the coordination of installation, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring project requirements are met and progress is effectively communicated to key stakeholders.

About You

Your engineering expertise, project management capability and stakeholder engagement skills, formed across transport, infrastructure, civil construction, road, bridge or related engineering environments, will see you excel in delivering projects safely, on time and within scope.

Your ability to manage contracts, coordinate design activities, analyse technical information and support project delivery will contribute to successful infrastructure outcomes for customers and communities across NSW. You bring experience in engineering project delivery, contract management, procurement processes and the application of engineering standards, enabling you to contribute to high-quality, efficient and customer-focused project outcomes.
