Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer to lead large multidisciplinary station packages in South East Queensland. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical or building-services engineering.
• 8+ years' project engineering experience.
• At least one station, rail, airport or complex facility project of $100m+.
• Responsibility for significant subcontract packages, budgets and engineering teams.
• Design management and constructability expertise.
• Building services coordination experience.
• Testing, commissioning and handover experience.
• 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one senior project engineering role held for 3+ years.
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail competencies.
• Leadership and team mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of significant multidisciplinary station packages including scope, cost and schedule.
• Lead engineering teams and manage key subcontractors across structural, architectural and building services.
• Coordinate design development and support constructability reviews.
• Manage package budgets, progress and commercial performance.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Support completion dossier preparation and handover validation.
• Coordinate with client assurance teams and independent verifiers.
• Manage package-level interfaces and coordinate with adjacent works.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• Escalate emerging risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex station and rail works across greenfield environments with significant design, procurement and construction coordination requirements. The head contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide leadership for significant, multidisciplinary station packages on the greenfield scope. You\'ll take responsibility for major subcontract packages, budgets and engineering teams, manage design coordination and constructability reviews, and support testing, commissioning and handover with deep engineering expertise and proven team leadership.
