Job summary

6Points is seeking a Project Engineer to own the delivery of multidiscipline station packages in a major SE Queensland rail infrastructure program. You will manage subcontractors, budgets, programs and quality, and oversee design, constructability, testing, commissioning and handover in a live-asset environment.

The role requires a civil/structural/mechanical/electrical/building-services engineering degree and 5–8 years of project engineering experience, including $100m+ station/rail projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/mechanical/electrical/building-services engineering.
• 5–8 years' project engineering experience.
• Experience on station/rail/complex public building project of $100m+.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary packages in brownfield environments.
• Subcontractor management and cost/schedule control experience.
• Testing, commissioning and handover experience.
• 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one project engineering role held for 2+ years.
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail competencies.
• Strong technical knowledge across structural, architectural and services disciplines.
• Leadership and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own multidisciplinary station package delivery including scope, cost, schedule and quality.
• Manage key subcontractors and coordinate design, construction and commissioning.
• Review engineering designs for constructability and compliance.
• Coordinate site inspection, testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage package interfaces with adjacent works and operations.
• Monitor and control costs, schedule and quality metrics.
• Prepare and maintain construction documentation and as-built records.
• Participate in project assurance activities and handover dossier compilation.
• Support safe work planning and risk management.
• Escalate emerging issues and propose practical solutions.

The head contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to own the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary station packages. You'll manage subcontractors, budgets, programs and quality, with responsibility for design, constructability, testing, commissioning and handover in a challenging live-asset environment.

What We're Looking For

• 5-8 years' project engineering experience
• At least one station, rail, airport or complex public building project of $100m+
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary packages in brownfield environments
• Subcontractor management and cost/schedule control expertise
• Testing, commissioning and handover experience
• 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one project engineering role held for 2+ years
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail competencies
• Strong technical knowledge across structural, architectural and services disciplines
