Job summary

Greatland Resources Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Underground and Utilities for its on-site Telfer operation in Western Australia. The role involves supporting Underground and Utilities teams, with occasional underground work, and a full-time 8/6 FIFO roster.

You will review designs, guide safety/compliance, manage reliability risks, and drive practical field solutions while maintaining documentation and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree (recognised by Engineers Australia).
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and legislation.
• Experience in high voltage distribution and underground hard rock mining is desirable.
• Working at Heights & Confined Space.
• C Class Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Electrical Engineer in keeping Underground and Utilities operations running smoothly.
• Review and approve electrical designs, reports, and drawings with confidence
• Identify and manage reliability risks before they become real problems
• Lead investigations into breakdowns and deliver meaningful root cause analysis
• Provide expert advice on electrical safety, compliance, and engineering standards
• Deliver practical, cost-effective solutions that actually work in the field
• Maintain configuration systems and ensure documentation stays sharp and accurate
• Drive improvements through fault finding, failure analysis, and innovative thinking
• Develop scopes of work and repair strategies that get results
• Support shutdowns and keep critical work on track
• Review condition monitoring reports and turn insights into action
