Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading residential builder delivering Class 2 apartment developments across Sydney. You will take ownership of the engineering function on a landmark project, coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors, driving programme outcomes, and ensuring commercial and technical objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer or experienced Project Engineer delivering Class 2 residential or mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrated experience on projects valued at $50M+.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts while maintaining programme and quality objectives.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function from project commencement through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Review drawings, manage RFIs, and resolve technical construction issues.
• Oversee QA, ITPs, inspections, and project documentation.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor management, and cost control.
• Monitor project programme and identify opportunities to improve delivery.
• Mentor and support Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and environmental standards.
