Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering function on a major civil and energy upgrade project in Queensland. The role oversees 2 Project Engineers and 3 Site Engineers, delivering a $40M civil package over 12–15 months on a remote project site.

You will manage planning, cost control, coordination with subcontractors, and design integration while mentoring the engineering team and ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery in a remote, camp-supported

Qualifications

8+ years post-graduate experience delivering complex civil projects.
Civil Engineering degree required with proven leadership in delivery.
Experience with mid-tier civil contractors is preferred.
Strong background in self-performed civil construction.
Experience across roads, drainage, concrete and bulk earthworks.
Excellent commercial and project management capability.
Hands-on engineering and project delivery mindset.
Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams on remote projects.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering function across the project and ensure successful delivery of packages.
Oversee planning, programming, cost control, subcontractor management and procurement.
Coordinate design and ensure safety, quality and technical delivery.
Manage a team of project and site engineers and provide leadership on site.
