Job summary

Arcos Group is seeking a Project Engineer Manager on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, with 5+ years' construction experience. You will lead contract administration and construction-phase services, coordinating with engineers and designers to deliver civil and structural projects for diverse clients.

You will act as superintendent's representative, manage contractor and client relationships, and drive continuous improvement in project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, contract administration or superintendent roles.
• Construction White Card and current driver’s licence.
• Solid understanding of standard form contracts (AS 4000/AS 2124/AS 4300 or similar).
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction programs.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication, leadership and proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Act as superintendent's representative on civil & structural projects, administering contracts fairly and impartially within delegated authority.
• Assess contractor progress claims, variations and EOTs; prepare payment certificates, directions and notices.
• Review submittals, shop drawings and ITPs for conformance with design and specs.
• Attend hold and witness point inspections; record observations and issue NCRs.
• Certify works for acceptance; perform as-constructed review and Form 16 certification for structural works.
• Provide design support during construction; coordinate RFI responses and temporary-works interfaces.
• Chair site meetings and prepare progress reports for clients.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, stakeholders and consultants.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines; contribute to process improvements.
