Job summary

BOS Civil Pty Ltd in Perth, WA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive the commercial, program and technical sides of our civil projects. You will work with PMs, review cost forecasts, manage budgets, and guide site teams to deliver on time and within scope.

You'll develop detailed staging plans, prepare subcontract scopes, run tenders and oversee claims, variations and EOTs, while mentoring engineers and stepping in as deputy PM when needed.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a PE or SPE in civil construction, ideally on local government, streetscape, drainage or roads projects.
• Good commercial awareness and a working knowledge of contracts.
• Proactive and organised with ownership mindset.
• Able to mentor engineers and act as deputy PM when required.
• Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• Current WA driver’s licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

We’re growing our Infrastructure, Streetscapes & Minor Works team and are after a Senior Project Engineer to drive the commercial, program and technical side of our projects.

The role

Working alongside our PMs and reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll:

Build cost forecasts, review labour, plant and materials against budget, and implement cost controls

Develop detailed staging plans, update the program with actuals and spot resequencing opportunities

Prepare subcontract scopes, run tenders, award packages and manage performance, claims and variations

Oversee claims, prepare variation submissions and track EOTs, delays and disruptions

Manage client reps, utilities, councils and Main Roads where relevant

Mentor Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Site Admins

Step in as deputy PM when needed

About you

Solid experience as a PE or SPE in civil construction, ideally on local government, streetscape, drainage or roads projects

Someone who takes ownership and enjoys bringing a team along with them
