Nixor Workforce is actively seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Civil for our Perth, WA operations. This role covers project delivery from planning through construction, liaising with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 5+ years’ experience in civil construction, and strong drawing/specification interpretation.

Senior Project Engineer – Civil Perth, WA | Full-Time | Permanent

Nixor Workforce are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a growing civil construction company in Perth.

This is a hands-on role suited to a Civil Engineer who enjoys being involved across project delivery, site, commercial and client management. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role within a close-knit team.

You’ll be involved in managing civil projects from planning and procurement through to construction and completion.

Responsibilities:

• Managing civil infrastructure projects and key work packages
• Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Developing construction methodologies, programs and resource plans
• Managing project costs, procurement, variations and forecasting
• Preparing RFIs, technical documentation and progress reports
• Working through technical and construction issues on site
• Coordinating quality, testing and project documentation
• Liaising with clients, consultants, local authorities and other stakeholders
• Supporting tenders, estimates and project planning
• Providing guidance and support to Engineers and junior team members

Ideal candidate will present:

• A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
• 5+ years’ civil construction/project engineering experience
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, pavements and concrete
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
• Good understanding of project costs, variations, claims and forecasting
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and survey information
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• Australian Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card
