Job summary

McMahon Services in Darwin is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering delivery across civil infrastructure and building construction projects. You will work with Project Managers and site teams, taking ownership of technical outcomes and mentoring junior engineers to improve project performance.

This hands-on role emphasises safety, quality, schedule and cost management, with opportunities to influence design reviews, procurement strategies and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Experience as a Senior Project Engineer delivering civil infrastructure or building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, programming and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities across civil infrastructure and building construction projects.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, ITPs and quality records.
• Support project financial performance through cost monitoring, forecasting and expenditure control.
• Develop and manage project programmes and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site personnel.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff and junior engineers.
