Job summary

Lendlease is recruiting multiple Senior Project Engineers to join our team in WA and support the delivery of long-term projects. The role focuses on planning, coordination, and delivery across multiple sites with safety, quality, and budget control at the forefront.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of project engineering experience, strong knowledge of construction methods, and the ability to travel to various project sites. Australian codes familiarity is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Supervisors in planning, executing, and closing construction projects.
• Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Review drawings and specs for constructability and compliance.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and resources; identify delays or cost overruns.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders for effective communication.
• Participate in meetings, provide technical input and problem-solving.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures on site.
• Assist in procurement, evaluating bids and managing vendor relationships.

We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Project Engineers to join our team in WA and support the delivery of multiple long-term projects in WA.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in planning, executing, and closing out construction projects.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
• Monitor and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, identifying potential delays or cost overruns.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Participate in project meetings, contributing technical expertise and problem-solving solutions.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures on site.
• Assist in the procurement process, including evaluating bids and managing vendor relationships.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
• Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards is highly desirable.
