Job summary

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) in Brisbane seeks a senior leader for the Partner Growth program. You will drive delivery across PDAs, negotiate program fees, and manage partner infrastructure agreements while coordinating with local governments and utilities to unlock development opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring planning/engineering expertise, strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of rapid progress on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior leader with background in planning or engineering, land use or infrastructure.
• Proven record of fast-tracking complex development projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong networks with developers, state agencies, utilities and councils.
• Confident negotiator who can balance firmness with relationship management.
• Solutions-focused and driven by continuous improvement.
• Private sector experience in development or consulting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Bring major developers in Priority Development Areas (PDAs) into the program and lead delivery across the portfolio.
• Lead commercial negotiations on program fees and cost-recovery for services beyond standard offering.
• Lead Partner Infrastructure Agreements with executive negotiation and strategic advice.
• Lead PDA declarations and amendments and streamline assessment of development applications.
• Manage relationships with local governments, TMR and utilities.
• Collaborate with EDQ leadership to grow the program and embed improvements into standard services.
• Lead an empowered, engaged, and capable team.
