Job summary

Morson Edge Australia in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller to support a new renewables EPC project.

You will monitor budgets, costs and commitments, prepare forecasts and reports, and ensure timely invoicing and cost control across the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with the Project Manager, Finance and the wider team to deliver accurate financial data and proactive risk/opportunity management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project cost control within large EPC/renewables projects.
• Strong skills in financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP or similar ERP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Highly organized, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and commitments, investigating variances.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Manage project cash flow reporting, tracking inflows and outflows.
• Prepare client milestone and monthly payment claims as per contract.
• Maintain forecasts, budgets, and billing plans, flagging risks.
• Manage purchase requisitions, POs, accruals, cost allocations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for accurate financial data and timely reporting.
• Monitor subcontractor payment claims and variations.
• Maintain project structures and financial records in SAP or ERP.
