Job summary

ACCIONA, in a joint venture with Cobra, seeks a Cost Control professional for the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project based in our Sydney CBD office. You will own staff and indirect cost reporting, monitor budgets, and collaborate across the project to ensure accurate forecasts and timely financial reporting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, budgeting experience and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control, budgeting and reporting within large projects.
• Strong ability to forecast, analyse variances and present to management.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own cost reporting and budget monitoring for staff and indirect costs.
• Review forecast assumptions and contingency allowances; flag issues early.
• Prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals.
• Present monthly cost performance to internal management with clear reporting.
• Explain budget variances and drive actions to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with budget owners and set targets to improve financial outcomes.
• Support Finance and project teams in meeting deadlines.
